JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH
I read the story "Journey to the centre of the earth" written by Jules Verne. As the name implies that this is the story of a journey that is to the centre of the earth. There are twenty sections in this story, all the twenty sections tells about the journey. A boy named Harry and his uncle Professor Hardwigg performs the main roll in this story. Professor is a well educated and learned man who is a geologist and interested in chemistry, philosophy and geology. Harry is very much interested in earth and all that lies in it. Professor is a fifty year old man.
The first section of this story tells about Arne Saknussemm's message. One day, professor discovers a book. There is a message in this book. It is a runic script –the language of the original population of Iceland. So they will not able to understand the language. But they were excited to know the message. Harry would read the message compared with Latin words, one English and many French ones. Finally he could read the Latin words, he would discovered the way to read the message. That is the journey to the centre of the earth. Harry does not believe there is a centre on the earth. But professor believes the message. Then they decided to go to the centre of the earth. The second section tells about the plans are made for the journey. They pick a map for the way and other equipments. They find the centre of the earth is an Iceland. The whole Iceland is full of volcanoes. All the other sections are describes the journey. There is a crater on the volcano. They would enters the down to the crater. They fear about the volcano erupt, because there full of lava. The lava is boiled to cause an eruption. But the light of the lava helps to identify the way. They go through the tunnel. The only difficulty they have faced, that is lack of water. After some days, they found a sea, which is an underground sea. It was an adventures journey, but they discovered some wonderings which is forty feet giant mushrooms, pine trees, giant grass and trees about hundred feet tall. There is a sea on the way, they travel through the voyage. They face some adventures from the killer fishes and storm. Then happens the volcano eruption. They were shot out of the volcano. Finally they reached at the centre of the earth. Then they back to home and the professor Hardwigg becomes very famous.
